Parenting with Purpose
Parenting can be challenging.
Finding a balance between work and being a parent is not easy, especially nowadays, with all the worries parents have about their child’s performance in school, the Internet, the choice of friends, and other things that keep them safe.
Then, there are the issues associated with a mixed family from different marriages, cultural diversity, or having adolescents striving for independence.
There’s no playbook for parenting, and sometimes the relationship between parent and child can be strained. For instance, your child might be disobedient, disregarding your advice or requests.
As a parent, you might at some point throw up your hands, saying, “I give up because I have no idea what to do.”
Coaching helps parents navigate challenges.
Culturally attuned parenting emphasizes responsiveness and alignment. It’s about actively adapting your parenting style to your child’s cultural identity, emotional cues, and lived experiences, not just knowing about them. It requires sensitivity, responsiveness, connection, and healthy boundaries, not just awareness.
Coaching provides successful parenting support, helping you learn to be flexible and relationship-focused. Our work together is collaborative and coaching-based. In this work, I will offer guidance, encouragement, and practical problem-solving methods.
My goal is not to give instructions but to help parents learn to navigate challenges effectively when they arrive.
Throughout the process, parents will learn practical techniques to help guide families in replacing unhelpful behaviors with positive, lasting habits.
Let’s face those challenges together!
